ABOUT THE CLASS:
John will bring in sides for you to prepare with a partner. You will
perform in front of the class and be given helpful redirects. He will
also be available to answer all your
questions about how his office likes to work, current trends in the
industry and how your head shots and resumes should look.
ABOUT THE COACH:
It was his knowledge of theater actors that led John to his start in film. He began working with directors like Paul Thomas Anderson (credits include "Punch-Drunk Love" and "There Will Be Blood".), David Mamet ("Spartan"), and Terry Zwigoff ("Ghost World", "Art School Confidential"). His varied casting experience also includes the comedies "Scary Movie" and "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle".
He has also done several movies for Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes. Credits include: "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning", "The Hitcher", "Friday the 13th" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street". He also did the East Coast Casting of Michael Bay's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".
His TV and commercial work include the pilot of the ABC Family show "Greek", as well as commercials directed by Ron Howard, The Russo Brothers, and Kathryn Bigelow.
