ABOUT THE COACH:

Ellen Sandler

writer/producer

Ellen Sandler received an Emmy nomination for her work as Co-Executive Producer for the CBS hit series, Everybody Loves Raymond. She has worked as a writer/producer for 25 network television comedies including ABC’s long running series, Coach.

She has created original pilots for ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox Family,
Oxygen, The Disney Channel and the Australian Children’s Television
Foundation and is the author of The TV Writer’s Workbook, published
by Bantam/Dell.

In addition to television, Ellen works as both a playwright and director.
Her play How’d It Go? *starred Megan Mullally at the HBO/Warner
Bros. Workspace and was subsequently developed as a pilot for the
Oxygen Network.

As a prominent script consultant and a career coach, she works with
professionals and emerging writers in the entertainment industry
through her company, Sandler Ink, www.SandlerInk.com. She is also a
sought-after seminar leader and is invited to speak at conferences and
universities both in the US and abroad. She is currently on the faculty
of USC School of Cinematic Arts where she teaches television writing.

Ellen is a member of the Writer’s Guild, The Dramatist’s Guild, and
holds an MFA in filmmaking from the American Film Institute.
