ABOUT THE CLASS:

Learn what really goes on in front of and behind the camera at a Commercial audition.  Beyond reading copy and understanding product placement, this course will also dive into techniques you can use to improve your confidence and commitment in the room.



Learn the secrets to BOOKING COMMERCIAL WORK.

  • What are you actually in control of in a commercial audition?
  • Who really makes the decisions?  Learn the difference between the client and the ad agency.
  • Explore the right approach and the wrong approach to slating.
  • You will learn how to truly feel comfortable in front of the camera, the directors and the producers.
  • How do you really show your personality in an interview situation?
  • You will take an in depth look at commercial copy and learn how to stand out by bringing your uniqueness to the room.
  • How can you deal with more than a one person copy?
  • The class will work through improv situations and how they apply to commercials.
  • You will work on-camera while reading cue cards (using actual commercial audition copy)

ABOUT THE COACH:

SCOTT WISSNER, PRODUCER & CASTING DIRECTOR

Mr. Wissner has over 20 years experience in casting and production.  He is an integral part of the creative casting team at ASG Casting.   ASG’s work on Bud Light was recently nominated for an Emmy.  Currently, he is writing and developing a half-hour comedy for television and a network reality show.  Scott has directed thousands of commercial casting sessions, more than anyone in Los Angeles.  He is known throughout the industry, as an “actor’s director”, helping actor’s find their best performances.  In 1988 Scott helped create and was an original partner in Beth Holmes Casting.  Within 3 years BHC Casting had annual billings of over $1,000,000.00.  

Some of ASG's recent clients include, NATIONAL CAMPAIGNS for CARL'S JR., TOYOTA, MCDONALDS, FORD, DUNKIN DONUTS, BUD LIGHT, ESPN, MILLER LITE, PRILOSEC AND WENDY'S.
